Josh Lombard is a New York–based director, editor, and producer working across theater and film. He is the Co-Artistic Director of Headwall Theatre Company, where he develops and directs contemporary work rooted in psychological intimacy, dark humor, and visually driven staging.

Josh is drawn to stories that complicate easy judgment and expand how audiences see difference across sexuality, race, class, and desire. His work often explores the unstable space where humor, discomfort, violence, and vulnerability collide, inviting audiences to examine not only what they are watching, but their own response to it.

His directing practice is shaped by a strong visual and rhythmic sensibility informed by his background in editing and photography. Approaching staging through a filmic lens, he uses composition, light, pacing, and spatial relationships to create emotionally precise and lasting audience experiences.
